Twenty Centuries of christianity in Georgia
AbstractThe paper traces history of spreading Christianity in Georgia since the 1stÂ century AD, showing its significance for making the Georgian nation.Â Based on historic sources the story includes the legends linked to theÂ process. Taking into consideration scholarly literature the paper dates proclaimingÂ Christianity in Georgia back to 326, considering the issue of autocephalousÂ movement of the Georgian Church. History of the Georgian Church embracesÂ contribution of the leaders in the different times.
